Lindbloom Named Minnesota Physician Assistant of the Year

Peter Lindbloom, physician assistant (PA) at the Mille Lacs Health System in Onamia, MN has been honored by the Minnesota Academy of Physician Assistants with their PA of the Year Award. This award was presented at the annual business meeting of the Academy in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota on April 4, 2008. Jennifer Dean Dwyer, PA-C, Chair of the Public and Professional Relations Committee noted that Mr. Lindbloom “clearly stands out as a great representative of the PA profession and is an inspiration to us all.”

Mr. Lindbloom has worked in the Mille Lacs Health System emergency room for the past five years. During that time he has organized and actively recruited new ER staff. He has researched and implemented new diagnostic procedures including bedside ultrasound assessment. He has been instrumental in the changes necessary to receive a Level 4 trauma designation.

Peter is also an active member of the Disaster Preparedness team and the Pain Management Committee He also contributed to the design and implementation of the urgent care clinic. Mr. Lindbloom oversees the Emergency Response Team and ambulance.  He is a recipient of the St. Francis Award from his health system.

The person who submitted his nomination stated “Peter has earned the respect and praise of staff and patients alike and is truly deserving of recognition.”

Annual Augsburg Physician Assistant Program Golf Tournament

When: Saturday, October 11th, 9 a.m.

Where: Theodore Wirth Golf Course

Details: Best ball tournament, shotgun start, 2-4 persons per team. Picnic to follow at a  nearby park.

Cost: $50 per person (cash or check) 

***FORM AND PAYMENT DUE DATE: September 8th.

No same day registration or payments are allowed this year. We need to have our final number of participants and a down payment for the golf course in September. I appreciate your cooperation with this earlier deadline. Thank you!
