CME Accreditation
Credit for this program has been requested from the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Watch the MAPA website or contact the MAPA office for exact credit hour totals once available. Generally each session is worth one credit hour.
Student Attendance and Challenge Bowl
Students are invited to attend CME sessions (including lunch) FREE OF CHARGE. We ask that you volunteer to help MAPA either at the conference (monitoring speakers, working registration desk, running AV) Please check the appropriate box on the registration form. The last activity of the day on Friday will be the Student Challenge Bowl. Students compete for great prizes and conference attendees are invited to cheer on the teams.
Thursday Silent Auction Fund-Raiser for PA Student Scholarships
The annual Silent Auction fund raiser is a fun social networking benefit at the Spring Conference. Donations/winning bids are tax deductible and the profits will benefit PA students through scholarships. Most of these student scholarship recipients become our future colleagues practicing here in Minnesota. The scholarship committee chooses from applicants based on financial need and merit. In 2009 we were able to provide a total of five scholarships. Your generous support makes the silent auction/scholarships possible.
Many members contact local businesses for gift certificates, baskets of merchandise or craft items. The silent auction opens for viewing and bidding at 2:00 pm. Check out the items during the day as the bidding gets competitive that last 30 minutes! Some items close as early as 5:30 pm and all items close by 6:30 pm.
Friday Night Challenge Bowl
All PAs are invited to attend the Challenge Bowl to cheer on the teams of students from Augsburg and UWLAX. Enjoy refreshments and a cash bar.
Registration Confirmation
A confirmation letter will be sent when your registration has been processed. Fees are refundable, less a $30 administrative charge, if MAPA is notified of cancellation by February 25, 2010. Children are not allowed in the lecture or exhibit hall.
