Legislative Links for PAs

MAPA has been instrumental in assisting to bring about legislative changes on your behalf.

Below are some of the issues MAPA feels are important to the further development of the profession in Minnesota:

· Providing value to members through service, resources, benefits and networking opportunities.

· Optimizing the regulatory environment  for PA practice as part of physician-directed teams.

· Securing equitable reimbursement for health care services provided by physician assistants.

· Working to improve access to health care for all Minnesotans.

· Supporting the growth of PA training programs in Minnesota and the AAPA North Central Region.

· Serving as a resource to Minnesota employers, regulators, legislators, and the corporate community regarding PA practice.

· Networking with other health care organizations to address areas of mutual concern.

· Participation on statewide public and private committees relating to health care provision and policy.
