Topics to be covered include: insulin therapy, inpatient diabetes management, nutrition, weight loss, noninsulin therapies, continuous glucose monitoring, complications and risks. Includes faculty from Park Nicollet Clinic and International Diabetes Center at Park Nicollet.

Description: The University of Minnesota Medical School Department of Surgery presents top surgeons from across the United States who will provide lectures, participate in moderated question-and-answer sessions and join in panel discussions on trauma, critical care and acute care surgery. Films of specific surgical procedures will be shown during the noon hour. This conference would be ideal for surgeons, and beneficial to other providers involved in the care and management of trauma and critical care patients. 6th Biennial Cancer Survivorship Research Conference: Translating Science to Care
will be held from June 14-16, 2012 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA.
Abstract submission deadline: January 17 2012, 11:59 p.m. (EST)
As in the past, scientific abstracts describing the results of methodologically rigorous survivorship research will be accepted. In addition, the 6th Biennial will include a new category for abstract submission—programmatic abstracts describing innovative, high impact survivorship programs. All abstracts must describe research or programs relevant to post-treatment cancer survivors.
